Paul Cuta and Marc Schellpfeffer started CāS₄ Architecture with the vision of fostering strong lasting relationships with our Clients. Built on providing services that are beyond expectation in an environment that fosters collaboration and having fun with our Clients is the driving force behind CāS₄. Paul and Marc believe that challenging Clients in a professional environment by critiquing and analyzing ideas and concepts from a whole team perspective creates a final product that is far beyond what can be achieved by a single perspective on a problem. Working in this type of environment is what gets us up and excited about what we are doing each day. We feel our clients are valued friends, and we work too hard in making their Goals a Reality to not have fun doing it, TOGETHER!

MARC SCHELLPFEFFER, AIA

Marc has been practicing architecture for 20 years and has had the opportunity to work with Clients in a variety of business fields. Being able to work with a variety of building typologies and scales is what makes the practice of architecture rewarding. From the highly technical works with leading automotive and cycling companies, to university and campus housing, and multi-family housing in mixed use developments each project offers a unique set of challenges and opportunities. What comes first for Marc is family. When not on the golf course we are always out finding a new adventure in the outdoors!

Paul has been practicing architecture for over 30 years which makes him OLD. That time in the profession has provided opportunities to work with a wide variety of clients in both the public and private sector and with a variety of scales, complexities and challenges. This continual variety combined with the good fortune to work together with great clients to find creative solutions is the best part of the “job” and has reinforced the belief that design and creativity matters, should be valued, can be expressed in any detail and while often unrealized, is often what we appreciate most in the spaces we experience, value and enjoy most. Even while maintaining a passion to design and problem solve on various project typologies over the years, Paul has maintained an early and continual interest in projects that help shape urban fabric by maintaining a strong interest in creative housing and mixed-use solutions that reinforce the fabric of the city and neighborhoods with creative density that can support more inclusive, diverse, livable communities while resisting continual consumption of land and natural resources. Passion for the profession is still second to time with a supportive family and close friends. Simply spending time together with family and friends, traveling together and sharing life’s experiences are the sappy truth that is most enjoyed, . . . . and an occasional round of poor golf! Paul and his family also have a major soft spot for dogs and Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain dogs in particular.
